Jersey City public School District has been recognized as a 2022 Summer Meals Champion by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service, Mid-Atlantic Region.

Congratulations to our SUPER parent Council President Mrs. Keisha Davis on being recognized by the Board of Education for all of her efforts and hard work for the PS#34 community. We are truly honored to have such an involved and dedicated parent.

Dinu Antonescu will be 1 of 18 high schoolers nationwide to represent the United States of America in Brazil via the Youth Ambassadors Program.

We are very excited to announce that The Jersey City Public Schools District is a recipient of Governor Murphy’s Stormwater Assistance Grants. JCPS will develop a plan to survey and retrofit up to 39 schools with green infrastructure and construct rain gardens at two of them.

The President Barack Obama Community School, PS 34 has been awarded Promising Practice Award by Character.org, for their practice "Parent Partners and Community Champions".

Science teacher Ms. Festa facilitated the grade 5 students as they participated in the eMerge Showcase which is a STEM initiative in partnership with Merge EDU.  The students built a renewable energy hotel in Minecraft using only recyclable and renewable products.  Once the interactive hotel was built, the students exported the hotel into the Merge cube which allows you to hold digital 3D hotel, enabling a new way to learn and interact with the digital world. Great Job Team!
