This year we will be using the MBF Child Safety Matters® program from the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. The goal of the Program is to help keep your child safe. The Program empowers children to spot and respond to bullying, cyberbullying, child abuse, and digital dangers. Most importantly, it teaches that adults are responsible for their safety but there are things they can do to help adults keep them safe. The Program is based on the latest research and has been reviewed and endorsed by national experts.
If you do not want your child to participate in the program, click on the headline, download the attached form, complete it and return to your child's teacher.

School Spirit Award

The middle school students of Public School #34 enjoyed a beautiful motivational assembly led by teacher Mr. Barnes.The assembly encouraged them to set goals and to visualize themselves reaching their future aspirations coinciding with our theme “Mission Forward: Go for the Gold.” Students received information about preparing themselves for Academics, Athletics, Sportsmanship, SEL, NJSLA, PSAT, High School, occupations in the field of Science and College and Career choices. Other topics included saving money and becoming a future entrepreneur. Students really enjoyed themselves and were inquisitive about learning how to open a business. In the celebration of Red Ribbon Week the students also learned about keeping themselves clean of dangerous substances as they participated in various activities and discussions.
